After sponsorship application process if my wife gets her Permanent resident visa, how long the visa is going to be valid for? 6 months?

It's generally linked to the date of the medicals, usually one year after the medical was done.

If you are referring to the Confirmation of Permanent Residence and haven't landed yet, That typically expires at the expiry of your medical exam (one year after the exam). The CoPR should have a "Valid to [date]" right on it.
