Hi, I'm 22 years old and I recently got my PR status reinstated. I'm originally from the Philippines and have been with my live-in partner for more than 4 years and have lived together for 2 years. I would like to sponsor his permanent resident application to canada. My questions are:

1. How soon can I apply to sponsor him?
2. Is living together for more than 2 years considered as a partnership under canadian law? Or do we have to marry first before I can petition for him?
3. Do I need a minimum income?

1. You can sponsor him immediately. Note that you must be living in Canada when you apply to sponsor him and must continue living in Canada while the application is processed.
2. If you can prove that you have lived together continuously for at least one full year, then you are common law.
3. There's no minimum income.
