Whoops, that got posted accidentally. It wasn't finished.

The person who signed for the package goes by the name of RIZWAN MAHMOOD.

Anyone else have this person sign for their delivery? Just a shot in the dark, but I thought that I would ask.

Hi,
My wife and I are almost done with our documents for imigration..we are in the last process of going over the checklists. However there is some confusion. There are two checklists. One is for the sponsor and one for the sponsored person. Some documents are mentioned is both checklists and others are only mentioned in the sponsored person's checklist. How are supposed to send the documents as a whole?
like sponsor person send all documents in her envelope or we both make separate envelope?

3 envelopes

1. Sponsor

2. Applicant

3. Proof of Relationship - photos, etc

Make a numbered index for each envelope that matches the doc checklist. Put a sticky note on each doc and checklist doc number. This way it can all be placed in order although in diff envelopes. Then spread then all out on the floor and compare the order on doc checklist. And do 100 bows and pray all docs are there :)

Well, from what I recall, there is 1 doc checklist for ALL docs. All you have to do is put the sponsor docs in the sponsor envelope and applicant docs in applicant envelope and POR docs in POR envelope. Place the docs in each envelope with the doc checklist number on it ( sticky note with big size numbers: Doc 1, Doc 2, etc) Slap that sticky note on each doc and in the same order as the checklist.

There is only one checklist and it is form IMM5491. What other checklist are you talking about?

Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong here, but IMM5491 and IMM3907 cover the same documents except for the 3 additional specific Korean documents (Family Relation Certificate, Marriage Relation Certificate and Old Family Census Register) mentioned in IMM3907. As long as you include those three Korean specific documents in your application along with all the documents listed in IMM5491, you'll be fine.

You do not need to submit 2 copies of the same form or document, just because they appear in both checklists. I would suggest attaching IMM5491 to the sponsor's application and IMM3907 to the Principal Applicants application. In the end it's just a checklist. The important thing is to ensure all the required documents are submitted.

As Korea2Canada said, it's best to separate the application into different envelopes; "Sponsors Application and Supporting Documents" (use checklist IMM5491 here), "Principal Applicants Application and Supporting Documents" (use checklist IMM3907 here) and "Additional Documents" i.e. any other documents or photos that support your application that are not mentioned in the checklists.

Hope that helps.

POR Proof of Relationship

If the duplicate docs on your checklist are easy to get. Then just put 2 one for sponsor and one for applicant. Or, just copy one. If it will ease your mind. I didnt have to put in any doc. more than once. It depends on your country specific requirements though. If I were you, I would put a doc for every item on the checklist (s). The Korean spouse applicant PR did not require duplicates.

I'm in the process of gathering documents now. I have a couple of questions. I have just finished reading all 56 pages of this post and my brain is a little fried so bare with me. I am Canadian, my wife is Korean and we have 2 Kids (I applied for my kids citizenship a month ago, so hopefully will come through by Nov. after which we plan to move to Fredericton,NB right away) Do you think including my receipts for the citizenship applications is fine as long as I include copies of their Korea passports as well?
Also, my wife owned an English school where I was employed. We just sold the school. On the applications should I just put that I was employed or should I put self employed as my wife owned the school. Also, I have not resided in Canada for 13 years, so I'm assuming an Option C form is useless for me. That being said should I just get my wife to write a letter as my employer for the past 4 years and include my last 12 pay stubs? Will that be sufficient in lieu of a Option C?
Thanks
