How do we email the VO? we have no email for her.....

I write all the emails to the embassy. I just feel this way there is no confusion because of language. Also because, as you know, if we are polite and act dumb with our government we get things done.

General inquiry: re-rabat.immigration @ international.gc.ca

Email this address to ask for an interview and say what is going on. Make sure you include his client number and full name.

For meeting: VRT-Maroc @ international.gc.ca

Thanks Fatim... I am trying to explain all this to him now...

He is just worried that it is not from the same DMR so they might reject it... I keep telling him it should not matter.

Hopefully you managed to convince him otherwise. He could go to a DMP in Timbukto and it would still be accepted as long as it was a DMP.

So I have had a chance to get a little rest and let my heart rate lower.. ::)

My husband did get the medical done yesterday with a different DMP because the original could not fit him in.

Now the question I have is....

Does he need to take the receipt to the embassy or not?
At the interview she did not tell him to do it. She simply said go get the medical and when we get the results I will call you. She made sure the cell number she had for him was correct.... repeated this all twice and then that was it.

So is the embassy contacted from some other means than receiving the receipt or does he need to get it there. And if he does.... can he just take it to them or does he have to have an appointment set up?

Sorry FatimZahra if this is a repeat of what you have already told me be before it was such a rush and my husband was asking things and saying things... I was just feeling overwhelmed trying to communicate to him what needed to be done and he was in a rush because the cyber cafe was closing.

My husband was told the same thing. But when he was called for the 2nd interview he told them he had the receipt from the updated medical. He brought it with him to the interview, told her he had it, she asked for it. He made a copy before though.

The doc sends a copy to Paris then it is forwarded to Rabat. I would still email a meeting request to speak to them. Someone from the embassy will call him.

No worries Dair, I hope that when they guys spoke to one another that things were clearer for your husband. ((HUGZ))

Tomorrow morning I am going with my immigration consultant to the Federal court in Vancouver to witness a full hearing about a spousal sponsorship appeal. The spouse (don't know yet if it is the husband or the wife) is in Vietnam and there will be an interpreter and a video call conference. It will be very interesting to watch as it will help me to get prepared for mine. My immigration consultant said it is not likely I will get an ADR because of the very poor notes.

Awesome Habibti.. can never be too prepared. I am sure you will get a lot of information. Best wishes to you.

That's great you get to attendant a hearing...Congrats!!!!

Unbelievable... today my husband came home to find a letter from the embassy. It is a letter asking for a second medical. The one the Dr asked for and said he needed.

So first of all I was right about the IO... she is a twit. She never told him about a letter... never said she would mail anything AND it was mailed 6 DAYS AFTER the interview and he just got it today.

Second ... my husband has already made the medical with another Dr... so now what the heck are we supposed to do?? ?? I sure as heck can't afford to send another $200 for another one.

Third... it teaches me a lesson in listening to my husband... he wanted to wait and be patient and I did not and now we are in a screwed up situation because the letter requests it be done by the same Dr. If only I had just listened to him... :( I feel it is my fault because I rushed him.. and I was listening to everyone else saying too many things. Don't get me wrong.. I know there is a lot of good advice out here... but this time I should have just stayed the course with my husband.

So all I can say to anyone else going through this... WAIT WAIT WAIT... don't try to rush anything and don't try to do things without instruction from the embassy itself!!

I have no idea what is going to happen now or what to do.

OMG Dair!

Email a request for meeting with a scanned copy of the receipt attached. Explain that he wasn't told to wait for the letter just to get the medical redone. Say the original doc wasn't available. So he went to another.

They will call your hubby.

Mine never got a letter. They never told him there would be a letter. They just said get it done. It just happened that he had to go back for another meeting because of missing dates on a form so he told them at that point he got it done. They didn't say anything just took the receipt.

I hope this gets sorted!!
