When was did your husband receive the email from the embassy? I think it depends on when they sent this email. I applied on Mar 12, 2018, and they sent us the email on Jul 18, 2018. Ayat's husband received the email on Jun 1, 2018. Hopefully this doesn't mean I have to wait 1 month and 18 more days but I think the earlier they receive the application the quicker they will take to complete it.

hmm. looks like they received our application maybe around the same time because Mississauga sent our file transfer on May 18, on Jun 28 ECAS was updated saying We started processing your application and we received correspondence on July 18, 2018. What has always confused me was why does it take so long to transfer the application and respond? Our application took 2 months to get sent to Rabat.

In any case I will tell my wife to keep a close eye on her emails. @ginabrigi, if your husband received correspondence around the same time as Ayat, tell him to keep an eye on his emails, they may be finishing his application soon.

With us they never asked us for another police clearance or more proof. I did call our MP and she found out that my wife is in queue to be scheduled for an interview. I'm hoping she gets called soon but I keep thinking that I would hate if her first impression of Canada is seeing a snowstorm or feeling -20 degree weather .

The police clearance is only valid for 3 months they will have to request a new one at some point. I will try to go and see the MP and see if he can find out how far the process is even though I doubt if bc I did go to an MP in the beginning of the process they said they can't help so not sure but good luck to you and yours

I’m not exactly sure but some people have said they waited 3 weeks after DM and then they were called to come into the embassy to get the visa

I've only been told 3 weeks as the wait time but you can check some older posts on this thread, you might see some different times. Hopefully it's 3 weeks or less for your husband. I just hope my wife hears some news soon. It's been a long wait for us.

Hi All,

Good Luck to all those who wait. I did go through the thread randomly and got some idea.

But can somebody list the overall process here briefly, im planning to marry a Moroccan girl by this year end. I’m a PR holder and recently moved to Canada.

I met her online a year ago and let’s say I visit her in few months to meet her and her family and visit again to get married.

Any input is appreciated

Wow that is crazy! Have you called your MP? They will look into it for you. Or I would also suggest emailing the Rabat office direct. You can find their email online. Sorry to hear it's taking so long for you guys. It is hard enough the distance .

Fill out the IRCC web form since you have been waiting for 12 months now. Do you know if they want to interview your husband?

It says that they don’t need an interview they don’t need biometric and I that he passed the medical but they still haven’t started the background check
