Hi All,

My wife is a PR in Canada and I am in India. We are applying for sponsorship through Outland.
Our child is a also a PR but in India currently. He got his PR together with my wife.
While filling the forms for Sponsorer - we are having some questions for which we need clarification.

In Sponsorship Evaluation IMM5481E form, there is Question 3. Your net personal income.
Your net personal income for the 12-month period preceding the date of your application.

My wife is on PR and working in Canada since October 2012. Prior to that she was working in India. Preceding the date of our application, in Canada she has been staying for only 8 months.
Hence she cannot show Canadian salary details for 12-months.
What should be filled in Amount, 12-month period starting and ending boxes?

Under Point 5, my wife has filled as below:
5. A) as 1.
Should she fill "1" in "Question 5. B)-> i)" - As our child is also a PR and got it together with my wife.
Also should she fill our child's name and my name in the back of the page. Please clarify.

In Sponsorship Questionaire IMM5540E form there is this below question:
10. Were you yourself were sponsored to come to Canada?
If yes, What type of Sponsorship?

Prior to getting her PR, my wife was in Canada for 2 years and hence she was eligible for PR. She applied for it and got it.
What should we fill in this section?

Regards

It's been said here that only Canadian income counts (and there is no minimum for spousal sponsorship anyway) . . . just put in her 8 months of income as being in the preceding 12 months.

Fill in as "1". Sorry I don't know about putting names on the back of any form.

Based on your post it does NOT sound like she herself was "sponsored", only that she worked here long enough to apply for PR. If that is true, put "NO".

This only matters if you were sponsored as a member of Family Class. Answer it truthfully, but that is why it's there. (There is a rule about timeframes and sponsoring a spouse if you were sponsored yourself.)

Were you married when your wife got PR? It's strange your wife and your son have PR and you don't........

I would like to know what is the difference between co-signer (form says spouse or common-law partner) and Principal Applicant(Sponsored person - Spouse in my case)?

Co-signer is for parents and children only. There is no co-sponsor for spouse.
