The following is from guide 3900

Sponsorship eligibility
In order to sponsor, you must…

be 18 years of age or older,
be a Canadian citizen, Registered Indian or permanent resident,
be sponsoring a member of the family Class,
live in Canada or provide evidence , if you are a Canadian citizen living outside of Canada, that you will live exclusively in Canada once the person you are sponsoring becomes a permanent resident.
sign an agreement with your spouse or common-law partner confirming that each of you understands your obligations and responsibilities,

what exactly is this agreement I have to sign with my partner. Are they talking about the statutory declaration?? I'm a little confused I hadn't pais attention to this before and I don't know what they're refering to.
Anyone???

It is one of the form that you and your spouse fill, it is the part of the Kit, there no other special document to provide.

Just download the kit according to the country of your spouse and follow the guide on CIC website.

It's part of IMM 1344 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.pdf

It's actually a promise to the government of Canada.

ok thanks so much. I juat wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
