Speculation: PEQ Temporary Workers Stream feels like it's unofficially on pause

Ok so I applied for CSQ under the PEQ temporary workers stream back in November of 2024

5 months later in mid april, my application finally went from "en attente de traitement" to "en traitement" but the letter I got was an "avis de delai" just saying that they need more time to review my documents and they don't know how long it will take.

Everyone I've talked to who has applied under the same stream around the same is either still "en attente de traitement" or received the same letter as I did.

I was wondering if anyone might have a clue as to what's going on?

It's been like this for 2+ years now. It's the new normal- PEQ takes more than 6 months (not necessarily for everyone but for most of folks).
