On this page it says:

Advertisement waiver

Employers who are hiring a replacement worker under the agriculture stream aren’t required to re-advertise the vacant position when submitting an LMIA application for the replacement worker. This applies only if the replacement worker is in the same Job Bank economic region and the same occupation as the ones stipulated in the previous positive LMIA.

Is this only if the worker left the company earlier or does it also apply if the work permit of the current worker expieres and the employer wants to keep her (in this case me) and needs to apply for a new LMIA?

This applies to the employer not needing new LMIA if they are hiring a replacement worker who is currently working in the same region and NOC. So person is working in the job somewhere else in the area and is coming to work for the new employer.

You are not a replacement worker.

So you are on a closed work permit and have employer who has a LMIA in your same NOC and you want to work for this new employer?

no. I am on closed work permit which is about to expire in July. My Employer wants to keep me for 2 or even more years. but he has to apply for a new LMIA now. we had hoped that we not have to advertise my role, but now it looks like we have to. Yes we know we have to advertise on Jobbank, but for my knowledge it has to be on a second platform or newspaper too.

Tell employer to call EDSC and confirm about re-posting job.
