I am applying for my wife her SOWP. I am currently on old CEC BOWP valid until the end of this year.

I had prepared copies of
my BOWP,
my permanent job's employment confirmation letter,
my paystub,
our marriage certificate (married in Canada)
Based on these documents, Does it make sense that we are applying for SOWP?

My wife is not the principle applicant and doesn't qualify for BOWP, I am concerned that the VO might not be smart enough to figure out what type of WP we're applying for, and on IMM5710 there is no indication on type of work permit. The only valid option on top of page 3, "DETAILS OF INTENDED WORK IN CANADA" is "Open Work Permit", but not specific to SOWP.

Thanks

Just select the open work permit. You should get the list of required documents when you use the eligibility tool.
And i am not sure what do you mean by My wife is not the principle applicant and doesn't qualify for BOWP ??
Even if they are dependents on the CEC application and they are IN Canada , they are eligible for owp same like principle applicant

Hmmm I don't know about it. Do you?
Yes my wife is living with me and working, but I didn't see on BOWP eligibility that dependent can apply to BOWP. Besides, her name is not on AOR, and her NOC does not qualify for list of eligible NOCs of CEC.

If I am wrong please let me know.

Hi

Your spouse isn't eligible for BOWP, only principle application for PR is eligible.
However your spouse still can apply for Spousal Open Work permit base in your BOWP.
