I have a question about my current implied/maintained status.
I applied for a Visitor Record to change my status from worker to visitor on July 29 in Canada. But then I applied for a spousal OWP as a spouse of a skilled worker (work permit restoration in this case) on Sep 5. Recently, I received an approval letter for my visitor record but it has an expiry date of 2021/12/30.
My question here is that since I applied for the work permit restoration while my visitor record was being processed, can I stay in Canada legally until a final decision for my work permit restoration application is made although my new visitor record has an expiry date of 2021/12/30? Or did my implied status under the work permit application get revoked by the visitor record so that I'll need to leave Canada after the expiry date and wait for the decision outside of Canada??
