Hi everyone,

Just have a quick question, I have 2+ years of work experience in USA as a software developer, my H1B was not picked. Was wondering if I switch my job to social worker for health & social worker category will I be eligible? & will it create any problem?

Sure you may be asked to provide BSW or licensing in your state or proof you can be licensed in Canada. IRCC may want to know you have the education and experience to become licensed in Canada.

So you may get procedural fairness letter as you need to show your education and ability to be licensed in Canada since the job is regulated. You would not be able to be a social worker in Canada.
