Hi everyone,
So I just got to Toronto about last year in July with a study permit and I attended a high school. Right now I'm 17 years old and by the end of June next year I'll finish high school and graduate. I do not have any money as all of my fundings were spent on high school fees and such and specifically in my case since I'm from Iran and the currency exchange rate got massively out of control and quadrupled in the last month, I GOT NOTHING. What I do have right now is 2 years of professional experience in the software development industry, more specifically, web development. I've received 6 awards, 3 of which I received here in Canada and 3 from Iran. (Gold medal at iCan 2018, Special inventors award at iCan 2018 both of which are held by Toronto International Society of Innovation and Advanced Skills, Top 25% in Canadian Computing Competition held by University of Waterloo) I was about to run a startup but there were some vague areas on the legal side that I wasn't aware of. I still have the prototype though. I also have many other ideas of some I actually have a working prototype. None of these can make me rock solid cash right now to pay for university. With all of these stuff that I said and considering that I have around $15,000 to spend how would you suggest I should proceed if I want to attend university and be able to pay for my self as my first priority and obtain a PR card as my second priority. (Actually almost as important)
I have checked the express entry assessment on CIC and it was a solid pass but what I wanna know about is that first of all, how long does it take to obtain a PR, second, is it ok if I don't use a lawyer or any representative at all?
If there is any other way that is faster for me to obtain a PR card? I'm all ears. I really don't want to waste a year and I want to go to university on time.

Completing further studies in Canada is likely the most realistic path to PR.

At your age and based on your level of education - the chances of obtaining PR are very low. I'm not sure what you mean by a 'sold pass' for express entry. How many points do you have under EE? Right now you need to have 440+ points to be selected. It hasn't gone any lower than this level all year.

It is illegal for you work in Canada at this time. So running a start up is a no go.

I was gonna apply for a startup visa.

Ah - got it. You could try that. I believe processing times are around 14 months right now. So it would be a bit of a wait.

Apart from that, if I wanted to go for express entry with all of the details that I mentioned, how are the odds? I'm a pretty good persuader. Interviews are mostly my thing. Is there an interview for express entry or is it all just based on documents? I do have a few dusty certificates from a few institutions left at my house in Iran here and there. Stuff like Network+, Entrepreneurship and business, Electronics.... Would that be of any help if I mentioned them in the application? From what I've heard the application takes about 5 to 7 months and in worst case scenario years. Has anyone ever figured out what factors affected the time it took or is it just random?

Express Entry has nothing to do with persuading. There's almost never an interview - it's all based on documents submitted.

As already explained my first post, selection is based on the number of points you have. Those with the most points are selected (so no - it's not random). Right now you need 440 or more points to be selected. Have you calculated your points yet? This will let you know if you have any chance of being selected. And no - unfortunately you won't get any points for the certificates you mentioned. For education, the highest level you'll be able to claim is high school once you finish next year.
