HI everyone.
I have a question.
I heard that SINP rules going to change or they making it strict in this june/july.
Anyone has news about it?

I am in Saskatoon from last 1 months and doing a job. I am going to apply after 5 months under student categeory.

Any suggestions or news?

Best of luck for everybody in his/her case.

Take care.

There is no one in this forum could answer question in which no publicly information is available.

However a reasonable guess can be drawn. PNP quotas increased this year for all provinces so I don't see a reason why they're making it more strict?

Dear Ethels, can you quote the source, i.e. from where did you get this information regarding increase in the PNP quota.

Thanks

Dear Dont_Give_up,

Here is the source on CIC news release section, They have grown and in 2012 they are admitting 42000 to 45000 immigrant under PNP.

The numbers were increased in 2011 and in 2012 it will remain at the same levels. This is from the same source you mentioned. :-)

That is what the answer is, basically there is no quota system in PNP like in FSW (limit: 500 application per profession), but PNP has increased dramatically within past few years, concluding that the trend is shifting towards PNP rather then FSW.

Regarding strictness, i don't see it in future, rather we see a leniency in requirement, like in SINP we have seen previously IELTS required of 6 overall band, now overall 4 band is sufficient to show english ability.

Smile2Good regarding your last statement about "leniency", i am sure they are getting more application the least they can do is increase the staff and just expedite the process or at least make it little bit more transperent. Just my view.

Thanks

Yes i would also like them to increase staff to windup applications fast as i am also an applicant, waiting for nomination.
I am sure you have read the Procedural guidelines that explains the steps involved in processing an application.

First Administrative staff receive application and check completeness and give application number, this step is called "In-take",

then Information verification clerk (IVC) enters the data provided in forms and documents, this step is called "Pre scanning",

then Information verification analyst (IVA) verifies the information provided by applicant and makes detail notes, this step is called "Basic Review",

then IVA sends application and detail notes to Immigration Officer (IO), who reviews the work done by IVA, this step is called "Criteria Assessment",

Then IO sends Recommendation to SINP manager who reviews work done by IO and recommends issuance of nomination letter, this step is called "Recommendation Review"

Then administrative staff sends email and mail package including nomination letter.

Now according to Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration department of Saskatchewan Government, Only
6 IOs
3 IVCs
5 IVAs
2 Managers
are working on tons of application received by SINP. ;) Source: AEEI, SINP directory

I hope we will hear good news soon, :)

Wow a comprehensive response from your side. I submitted my application on line and after 7 months the status changed to Application received from application submitted. I wonder is there any category called "application under process".

Next will be "In process" around 3 months after "application received".

After "In process" status, i am still waiting.. :)
But i can only make a wild guess from information i got from different applicants in the forum is that now it takes 12-14 months in family stream after the status application received to get nomination.

Frankly speaking i really don't know the next title of the status.. i hope it will be "Approved" or "Nominated" ;)
One more thing i know is that if they ask for additional documents to be submitted, they give 45 days and during this your status would be "Waiting on applicant"
But i Love to see "Approved" or "Nominated" or something like that, if there would be any.. ;) ;) ;)

I really don't know exactly how to check the CIC part of the PNP applications, as i am still waiting for nomination and don;t know the actual process of CIC part yet. But i have heard that when we submit application for PR to CIC office they give AOR (i don;t know what it looks like because i haven;t received yet ;)), in AOR there may be something like UCI (Unique Client Identifier number) which is used to check application status on CIC website here.

I may be not accurate, you can ask the CIC applicants here. They are in better position to give your answer accurately.

Hope for the best.. :)
