SINP PR application

Hi guys

Asking for a friend here. He was nominated in Sept 2016 under the student category. He was didn't start working for his employer until Januaray 2018. His employer who nominated him was waiting for his work permit to be approved but it doesn't approved until late 2017. At the time, his employer said he will still support his SINP but doesn't have any work for him due to his work permit being late.

So the entire year of 2017, he didn't work until now he's back working for the same employer who nominated him. He tried finding an employer but he's work permit was closed. He just got approved for PR but hasn't land yet.

So will there be any issues to his PR?

In my opinion, he already got PR so can land and find a new job without worry.

Well he was worried for the fact he got PR due to having SINP nominated with job offer. He had no choice to not work in 2017 but he's started working again with the same employer in 2018. He hasn't landed but he doesn't want to cause any issues to his PR.

Well, If his PR got approved, there will be no issues. This is interesting because he received his nomination without Work permit and CIC approved it. To apply for SINP, you need to have a valid SINP Job Approval Letter, and must hold a valid post-graduation work permit under the student category.
SINP issued approval letter, nominated and CIC approved it without work permit!!!! Lucky him !!!

He was holding a closed work permit but didn't work for the employer for 2017 until January 2018. He's just worried about any future percussion since he didn't work in 2017. But he is working in 2018 and just got his PPR and hasn't done his landing procedures.
