just wanted to share my situation and see if anyone else is going through something similar. I applied for PR in January 2023 under the federal stream after getting nominated from Saskatchewan. I did my medicals in January 2024, and then in May we had a baby. We added the baby to the application without any issues, paid the fees, and also completed the baby’s medical as requested. Since then, there has been absolutely no movement on my file. I ordered GCMS notes and it shows that my case is flagged for comprehensive security screening. It’s been almost 22 months now, close to 2 years, and still nothing. Is anyone else stuck like this, especially in security screening? Has anyone been waiting 2–3 years or even longer? Just trying to understand how common this is and if there’s anything at all that can be done. Thannks.
