SINP Eligibility

Hello everyone,

I was recently rejected for the SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) in May 2024 due to the selection of an incorrect NOC code—specifically, 41300 (Social Workers)—under the Occupation In-Demand category (without an employment offer).

Now, I have started the SINP process in my spouse's name. She scored an overall 6.5 bands in the IELTS exam. She holds a doctorate in the field of social work and currently has 12 years of teaching experience at a social work college in India.

However, my immigration agent has informed me that applying under my spouse’s name may not be possible because her documents were already uploaded in my previous (rejected) application as a dependent.

Is this information correct, or is my immigration agent possibly misguiding me about my spouse’s SINP eligibility?

I kindly request your guidance on the proper procedure.

Think you are likely selecting the wrong NOC again. Based on your description she has been working as a professor not as a social worker.

Think you are likely selecting the wrong NOC again. Based on your description she has been working as a professor not as a social worker.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I just clarify that my spouse's role matched with NOC code 41210 – College and other vocational instructors. We will process for this code, not social work code.

Call SINP. To the best of my knowledge there is a six month restriction on reapplying for the program if you were refused however you are well beyond that.

What are the exact reasons why you agent is saying your spouse cannot apply?

My agent has informed me that applying as main applicant of my spouse, may not be possible because her documents were already uploaded in my previous (rejected) application as a dependent.

This doesn't make sense to me. She can apply again as the main applicant using the same documents. I would find a new agent.

Besides, if your agent was involved in your first application, then I would say it's his fault you were refused and it seems this is an incompetent agent.

Is that NOC even selected in draws? Not sure it is unless score is high with family in the province.
