Are you sure you can't reactivate current profile by withdraw your profile, make changes and add your new valid IELTS result and then resubmit your profile?!

If it is not possible to reactivate express entry profile then there will be only one possible ting and it is exactly what you described. Make another express entry profile with your valid IELTS result and then send an email to SINP and explain to them what happened to your last profile.

I think everything will be OK if you act fast and before SINP find about your current express entry ineligible profile, you can overcome the matter! ;).

after landing in Canada, is there any possibility that they ask about my source of carrying money? or may they want to see any bank statement or proof of fund there?

See this. It may be clear your doubt.

How much money should you bring?

It is a good idea to research how much it costs to live in the place where you plan to settle in Canada.

Bring as much money as you can to make moving and finding a home in Canada easier. Note, however, that Canadian customs regulations require you to declare if you are bringing more than C$10,000 into Canada. If you do not tell them, you may be fined or put in prison. These funds could be in the form of:

cash
documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.) or
documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

Hi Mohan,
I can only suggest you to be relax from now until your exam day and also during the doctor appointment. Just 4 to 6 hours before the exam, drink a little more water than a normal usual day and also tell the the doctor the truth about previous diseases/treatments (If you had any)and tell only which ones he/she ask. For example knee pain or other things like that never be asked by doctor and it is not in their checklist and you don't have to declare those such things!

It is really easy task and it will take only two hours. Just be relax and everything will be OK because all of us don't have any mentioned disease in Canadian immigration rules that can prevent us from getting Canada permanent resident visa! ;) ;D

Good Luck.
Ok. Sure. Thanks Victor. :D

No source of income or bank statement needed.

While completing your landing, if they ask you about settlement fund you need to tell them the amount you carrying and declare in the landing card if you carry more than 10k in CAD. That's all.

Legally you are not allowed to carry more than 7k in USD from your country. In this case just carry 7k (max. 5k in cash & 2k in traveller cheque) which is around 10k in CAD. That will suffice. :)

If I am going to carry more than 10K CAD then I have to declare that, Will I be charged something on carrying a lot of money or what?

Another question regarding the money

How will u withdraw more money (over the 10 k CAD) from your account , of course I know that we can use our ATM or Visa cards and so on but we will loose a lot of money in the currency change or u think we have to open a USD account in our own countries to put all the money we can in so that it will be easier to withdraw from a USD account other than our local currency ?

No, no charge. They will be rather happy if you carry one million :)

Either way you will lose money on currency conversion. Better to take cash or traveller cheque than to create a foreign currency account and deposit money at home. In that case, the home bank will charge each time you use a foreign ATM in canada :o

The objective of the obligatory declaration is to prevent more effectively cash movements from illegal sources and to prosecute cases of influx of proceeds from criminal acts. You can freely import an unlimited amount of currency as long as you can prove the source of funds isn't from illegal activity. In that case your funds will be seized and you may be arrested and deemed inadmissible.

Do they detect the travellers cheque?

Correct. Dreamer, As you want to use CAD, open the CAD account and convert your local currency directly to CAD instead of Local->USD->CAD.
I think that some banks like citi allow to open directly on CAD from other countries which you can check out if you have that option so that you can deposit the needed ones there itself and get the plastic card while boarding with statement balance printed from that bank.
