Wanted to do a double checked to see if traveling to canada will affect my application
Emailing them takes months for them to reply so thought I should go down to ask and get immediate answers

1. Security guard of the building directed me to VAC at 11th floor Equity plaza instead

2. Headed down to VAC which was operated by third party company, VFS. Waited a good 20mins and was too that they wouldn't have my records as they just opened on the 15th. Was told strike in Singapore was still ongoing. Told me to do any enquiries online.

3. Went back to CIC and told the guard to allow me access so that I can do my enquiry. Went up. CIC security did not allow me to go in. Told me same thing abt emailing online. Reception counters at CIC was closed and seemed. It was 2pm...

Are they still working on our files or are they not?
Hopefully, with the VAC, sgvo will be more motivated to clear the backlogs they have. I need my medicals!!! Pafso officers, please get back to work!!

PAFSO officers have no right to doing games with our valuable times. Its a very important things to our life.

new delhi visa office is raining medical request and status change!!!....when will it come to SGVO?

2 years completed in the queue. Still "application received" status.

one month and you can emailed them about your status....let's hope that they wont increase the processing time again

Me! :)

four angels, if you are from philippines, you should apply to manila office, it should be way way faster.....

I really cant fathom the long waiting list in Singapore visa office. Are they scruntinising all our details such that it takes such a long time. Why is there such a big difference in processing time as compared to the other countries? Are our applicants more inferior than the rest? If they are shorthanded, couldnt they transfer the files or send more manpower over? It's ridiculous when people that applied to new delhi office this year gets the pr this year and when we apply in 2011, is still wondering if we will get it in 2013. Do we get a concession in the fees paid such that it is processed at snail's pace? What's up with the backlog seriously?

They should have depicted this numerous applicants in Singapore ! Why do they need to keep our files for soooooooooooooooooooo Longgggggggg well in fact they can distribute it to the proper visa office intended for each nationality !!! If they are shorthanded of people , they have to think that there are other visa offices that can help !!! They don't care about the applicants high intention of settling there !

Come on ! Applying is not a joke ! It's a matter of our future ! If other countries can process in 11months shy not singapore !? People who were nominated meaning they have been screened out by the local government in Canada ! What the fuss now of dealing with this snail pace of processing ?

Good news to all applicants, Canada government is hiring new employees to speed up immigration process. This recruitment is a strong respond to PAFSO members ( current immigration officers) who are taking strike and keep people away from their Visa.
