@ ffarin11

Did you order via caipsnotes-com or caips-ca? I see the different in their advice.
In caips-ca they said checking your CAIPS may slow the processing but in caipsnotes-com they said requesting the CAIPS/GCMS notes does not affect the processing of Immigration application.

My timeline is about 15 mos so I am not sure if it is necessary to order CAIPS at this stage.

for the senoirs that have gotten the medical request, what is the subject title for the email that you have received?

Information about EXXXXXXXXX(your file number)

@kaisin: for me, it was DOCUMENT REQUEST EPXXXXXX (file number)/xxxxxx(passport number)/MEL :)

@ffarin: thanks for your info. Anyway, we can never tell when cic will contact us. That's unpredictable. BTW, I have a question about ATIP: I ordered ATIP before receiving Medical request, and I just received their feedback via email with 23 pages last week, there are so many info which I can't totally understand, how could you find out about the fact that your file could be reviewed every two months or sth like that? I only can understand some notes in those pages but all those information are not kinda new since I already finished the medical request n additional docs submission.

@M-polar: I think it's still early for you to order CAIPS. Anyway, you can try if you want to :)

I have seen any where says that order caips may slow processing your app.

@ M-polar you can order GCMS note for free from https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/
GCMS note doesn't slow down the process. These notes are screenshot from the gcms system and handle by the ATIP division of cic Ottawa.

@ luccy_di check the bottom of the 2nd page of your gcms note, under the application assignment, you will see the due date. On that day you file will be reviewed.. for details clear explanation see the links http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t39705.0.html

to obtain the caips notes, do we fill in our details or fill in the sponsor's details?

@ffarin: thanks for your guidance. I re-checked my ATIP as you mentioned, my due date was June 29,2013 so it means that they already reviewed my file, doesn't it ? Well, they received my second submission on July 8 though :(

How many days to receive caips in your case?

@taivoi: about 1 month, i guess
@ kaisin: if you apply from canada, you may use your sponsor's info as being your representative to order it.

Thanks Luccy_di. FYI, Due date (BFD: Bring foward date) does not need to be your file would be reviewed on that date, It's just an auto-reminder for officers, to make sure your file is always alive, not forgotten, since there are millions of cases, without reminder system, file will be abandoned .

the date is just an estimated timeline during tasks are being worked on our files, officers can pickup your file earlier if all tasks are done, otherwise, auto-reminder system will remind officers about our cases, they check, if there is still pending task, they will set another due date (BFD).

So, the most important thing we'll have to look in caips is, what are still pending, what are done, and what they're working at now, history/current location of the file now etc..

hope this information will help.

just applied for CAIPS! hopefully will get a good response from them

Hi,

My Ecas says : Decision made since 16th July but yet no tracking activity for the prepaid FedEx envelope I sent along with my passports. Any suggestions?

I changed my address after PPR and mentioned my updated mailing address in cover letetr along with Passports.

My time line: Pre june 2010 applicant

PPR: 23-06-2013

PP recieved by SVO: 05/07/2013

Decision Made: 16/07/2013

Passport has back to me! :) ;D :D ;) :)

I requested to use UPS to return my passport to me, fill in the airway bill for them too. But at the end they still use registered mail to mail my passport back to me. No wonder it takes so long for me to wait my PP back.

The wait is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I got to move fast to do packing and preparing to move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck everyone!

Date of issue is 5th July 2013

22nd July received PP.

Ecas haven't shown my Canadian address.
