Hi All,

It seems that many ppl applied for TRV, but most get rejected. The main reason is "not enough ties to family or country". I was hoping the few ppl that did get TRV approved would be kind enough to share what they have presented as "family ties". We have tried to show job, family will of assigned houses, requesting very few days for vacation 2weeks only, and extensively expressing the issue of lengthy process time, but nothing seems to work as if they have made up their mind about not letting husband and wife stay together until PR process is complete.

It might not be a big deal to the SVO to keep married couple apart for years at a time, but there must be some strong ground that can be raised to get TRV approved.

Those who did get TRV approved, please help! Also i am under the impression that TRV approval is on country preference...Bangladesh is an automatic rejection :p

ATRV is very difficult to get once you are marrief from any country, you can also get refused entry if you are from a country that doesn't require aTRV but you have a spousal PR application going. The way the govt sees it, is you have to prove you intend to return to your country at the end of it, and if you are married to a Canadian with a PR application in, they see you as having a strong motivation not to leave. This happens with Canadian/American couples too. A strong motivation would be say, you are the sole caregiver of a dying parent, or perhaps you have one year left of a four year degree, and you have already paid thetuition for it. You Own a business that needs you. That sort of thing.

Some people suggested to put "no"
in that question as there is no refusal seal or anything in the passport..but the last thing we want is to lie or misrepresent....whatever happen wil happen..we should be thruthful to every question

I will just tell my wife to put "yes" and give a brief explanation.
I think you're on the right track there.

has anyone gotten PR and landed in less than 26 months?
Yes. It's not so unusual. Wish it had been us!. A TRV is a temporary residence visa. It's basically a visitors visa with a different name :)

I do not know if it is in first or second review. With your timeline look like they are doing Final o r Third review to see if you pass eligibility or not.
If you pass eligibility to be sponsor then your application will go IN PROCESS for next step Background and Security check.

If not then you may receive an interview letter or ask for more supporting documents.
Hope it help and no interview
if you have time read their Manuel then you may find your answer.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf

End of January you may see neither one of three IN PROCESS on ecas or ask more supporting document or interview letter.
I guess from my experience it will not be accurate as your case. All cases are vary one to other.
That's not exactly true, the application has two separate steps, your sponsorship or eligibility to sponsor is fast. It is pretty much strictly financial. It where your sponsor proves to the govt that you are not living off the govt dime, eg on welfare or disability, and are financially capable of absorbing the cost of living for someone else for 3-5 yrs. They want to know all your sponsors financials, earnings, savings, assets; in order to ensure the sponsored person will not become a burden to the state. This approval takes 1-2 months and is done in Mississauga. When your sponsor passes eligibility, your file does not go 'in process' like the way they mean on ecas, it will be transferred to the appropriate office where they will begin to examine the veracity of your relationship/marriage, based on the evidence you have submitted. As you will see if you order nnotes, your file will pass through a few hands for this assessment, and from this they will decide if you need an interview or not, and your visa officer will make a review and if no interview will put it in process and request med and security and then they hire an outside agency to verify the stuff in your application.
When you get your ppr relative to this depends on the style of the officer, and how fast they are, our slow as the case may be. PPR to via issued also varies a lot.
I got the exact same email response when I inquired right before we went 'in process' so maybe it's a good sign, but don't count on it. In process can also last up to one year depending on your visa officers style. Everything right away or in process early but then wait a long time. Hope you're lucky :)

U guys remember how my wife was asked to wait 6 weeks after remed?

Anyway got an email from SVO..asked as if we are ready we can submit passport with all documents right now :) no need to wait yay

I am happy:)

Iam just the bit concerned about the imm5669e question 6d where we have to tick yes now because she applied for thai tourist visa once and it was denied. (due to pure incompetent travelling agency), other than that i think everything should be smooth now. :)

Congratulation to you! Did you receive the request by email or snail mail?

I have similar timeline with you, and like your wife I have been in Canada with TRV since June 2013. Hope I will get some good news soon.
