LUCK! certainly not with me...so, cant do anything but to be prepared for more delay..my son is 1 yr 2month old,growing up without his father,many more months to go :'(

Have anyone here applied for TRV for their spouse from Bangladesh? Can anyone tell me how I should start the process? Where is the Visa Form submitted? In Dhaka or in Singapore?

You can directly send application to Singapore or you can submit your application to VFS, Dhaka ( vfs-canada.com.bd ) and they will send your application to Singapore. Your application will be processed in Singapore.

My wife landed on April 26, 2013. Out of curiosity i just tried to see the ecas status and it still says DECISION MADE. How much time normally after landing that status changes to COMPLETED? Can anyone advise? Thanks

It took 4 weeks after my wife landed before her ECAS changed to Completed.

I know TRV applicants have very slim chance of getting approved. But, I wanted to know what my wife should include with the Forms. Do I need to send anything to her? I guess, they will find out that she has applied for Immigrant Visa through Sponsorship. So, is it a good idea to include the stage 1 approval anyway or not needed?

Of course you should include the stage 1 approval with the application. For my case I wrote a letter explaining everything. I mentioned the stage 1 approval with date. They are issuing PR instead of TRV.

hi mahfuza, as i read ur trying for ur baby's canadian citizen certificate,hv u got that yet.n how many days it takes to get d certificate after applying? n wht will b next step? do ur baby need to go through D.N.A test for that n n after getting the certificate how many days it take to get the canadian passport? sorry for asking so many questions but im really worried, want to do everything that can save time!!

Hey Akhi! it was not too many questions! I was so curious like u before applying for my babies certificate. so i understand : ) its been 5 months since i have applied..yet no news. they said it will take 8-10 months from outside Canada. My baby did not have to go through a DNA test. the application does not require it unless the office asks for it afterwards. the next step is they will issue the certificate and we have to apply for a passport. I'm not sure how many days it takes for the passport. may be 2-3 weeks just a guess. Don't be worried at all. its better if u directly go to Canadian high commission at Dhaka and tell them ur situation, they will suggest u in details. and for any other help im always there buddy

thanks dear, my hubby just got the emai that we hv to apply for my son's canadian certificate n we need to go through d.n.a test!17 month passed for me since app submission but still im happy coz i thought i'll get the news after 22 month of submission the file like ''afrosebd2002'' but i hope i''l get my son's canadian passport b4 my vissa issued...but wht taking u so long for the certificate whilst afrosebd2002 got her baby's passport in a very short time!!

hi afrose, my hubby got an email regarding d.n.a test that we hv 2 do.looks like they r handling all the applicants file now who had done .so no escape 4m that..but i hv 2 apply for my son's canadian certificate n passport..can u plz tell how many days it take for u to get the certificate n passport after applying?

Hi AKHI,

For citizenship certificate it tooks 3-4 months. I applied in Nov'12 & got it in Mar'13 for my son. 1 additional months to come from CIC to High commission in Dhaka . For passport ot tooks only 10 days.

Today i got a email from SVO as per my asking they inform now DNA test is mendatory. I think from now everyone who has baby might b get the request. I'm afraid regarding the timeline for DNA test. What they mention in your email 4-6 Wk? Some one in this forum told me that yearly 2times from bd they collect the sample. He did it 2011. I think now system is change if not then i will die. Can't take any more stress.

yearly 2 times, when? did he mention? i was so happy that i finally hear something 4m them...they said i hv to do the test with in 60 days, so they should arrange to collect the sample now!! :'(

i just read the form,yes they did mention that it'll take 4 to 6 wks in d procedure after taking the sample but i wonder when they going request us to send the sample!!
