Alhamdulillah.. After waiting for 20 months my husband and son received the passport with Visa. I can understand how painful it is to wait without knowing the time line. Last one year every day I was waiting for an email or mail from Singapore. I wish everyone gets their visa soon and reunite with their family.

Ok, so I am helping my wife in Dhaka fill out the application and gather documents for her TRV (visit visa) application.

1) It seems I can't open the immigration form IMM 5257 from the Singapore VO website for TRV. This is the link:

I have downloaded the latest version of Acrobat in my laptop. Still I am getting an error message when I try to open it. Can someone tell me what i can do?

2) Can I pay the TRV Fee myself online in Canada by going to the CIC website and then have the receipt mailed to my wife who then can attach with the application?

mashallah, thats a gr8 news..u know what many monthy ago i was searching on google about D.N.A test regarding issues than foun ur post in this site, u were saying u would prefer go back to bd if they request d.n.a test..n alhamdulillah u didi'nt need that n finally ur wish has come true, im so happy for u ;D....btw what is sing received as u mentioned in ur status...

Then once in your profile... on the left go into modify profile
There you can add your timeline

I have been filling out Form IMM 5727 (Application for Temporary Visit Visa) on behalf of my spouse. On page 2, DETAILS OF VISIT TO CANADA, Question 1 a) purpose of visit: The answer should be 'Tourism' from the drop down menu, right?

so, u got the passport back within 1 n half month...for some ppl it take 2 to 3 months!

as u said after that they will ask for passport request, wont they ask for re medical!! as i guess our 1st medical timeline is expired!!

Yes, that is right. they will try their best to do not let your spouse enter to Canada till the permanent resident one get finalized by the way.

hi guies , i was wondering that i have recievd my sponsor eligibility on mart and the file got the transed in april 17th to singapore visa office . also the decision made and medical recieved is still the same since april 17th but on may 5th my husand got another letter says

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2013/04/22.

but his UCI number and my UCI number isnt the same , and this letter was emailed to him on may 7th,

any idea what it means :S

i am confused my husbands home adressed hasnt been changed yet.

If the file was transferred to Singapore VO on April 17th, then it is way too early to make any decision on the file. The status you see is for the Sponsor. That means decision was made that the Sponsor was approved, not "decision" on the Applicant. That will come later.
