I received my spouse's PPR today by email. They must have sent it to me because we submitted the authorization of a representative document naming me as the representative. We went "in process" exactly one week ago, on November 16th. Seems pretty fast. Singapore received our application package exactly 5 months ago. To be honest this has caught us off-guard, as we were expecting a much longer wait after seeing how long most Singapore Visa Office applicants on this forum have to wait. I want to travel to Singapore to submit and pick up the passport in person, but the letter does not mention that as an option. I know that others have done this, however. Looks like I have to contact them and read through more old posts on this forum.

For those in the future who are preparing their packages for submission and want to know what we did in order to get a relatively quick processing time:

We broke the proof package into many sections based on the timeline of our relationship. Included lots of detail and proof for each section, with a cover page write-up and listing of the items contained in the section. Also included a background section at the beginning giving a summary of our situation. The final section contained all of the financial support stuff. Referenced this proof package in the application itself, where there is not always sufficient room to expand on details. We were completely honest in every question and provided as much detail as possible. The GCMS notes showed that this helps, as it was mentioned that this and that was sufficiently explained, as our situation was not 100% straight-forward.

Anyway, good luck to all. I would appreciate anyone who has gone to submit the passport in person but did not have this listed as an option on the PPR giving me some information, as I want to book our air tickets ASAP.

Hi Bluenoser,

I've sent you a pm asking some questions.. thank you.

I am happy for those who already received interview letter. My heart goes out to you and your spouses. Be prepared. For Vietnam nothing yet. I hope my wife and I will receive letter for interview soon. I suspect January 2013 sometime she will have her interview.

thank you, hopefully next interview session will be scheduled for vietnames applicants.

The GCMS form has a question. " name of the office where application was submitted?" My form was first submitted to Canada then it was transferred to Singapore. Should I write Canada then? Can anyone suggest me what they wrote in this section?

when i applied i wrote cic missauga for the place where application was sent then (/)visa office singapore with it -then the adress of cicM on the bottom for location

Guys: I need your advice urgently. Your suggesion will be greatly appreciated.

My file was transferred to Singapore on 16th May 2012. Till now my ECAS only says application received. As you know few of our friends with same time line are getting approvals which makes me wonder whether the reason for me not getting the approval is to do with sufficient proofs i have provided during filing the application. During filing my application i have provided with wedding pictures, recent call logs, all kind of receipts, wedding cards, flight itenaries etc.

As i was in a 7 years relationship before getting married i have a lot more proofs which i could have provided. For some reason i didnt provide singapore with emails, skype chat logs etc which i guess was necessary to provide. I really regret that. I thought if the VO are very experienced and if a marrage is genuine so much details are not required. But according to this forum i can c every tiny details makes it easy for the VO to analyze the file.

I do have all the emails i exchanged with my wife when we were in a relationship from the last 8 years. I can try to get my phone carrier to get me all the text messages and everything we have exchanged too. After i filed my application i went back home thrice already in a span of 8 months to see my wife which also includes our honey moon. Do you think it is a gud idea to send Singapore updated package with proofs? or is it too late?
