For a year, I have applied to get a SIN number and I submitted a photocopy/scanned copy of my study permit and yet each time, they tell me I do not have a valid primary document identification. I don't understand why this is occuring, any issues why?

You're just submitting study permit?
Why don't you walk in to get your SIN?

Also does your study permit :

  • indicates the permit holder “may accept employment” or “may work” in Canada ?

What happened? Did you get your SIN in the end? I'm asking because I got rejected for the same reason and don't know what to do.
