She doesn’t actually, coz she was married in India in the traditional way and never registered her her marriage. Is there any other way I can / she can prove that they’re the same person?

her landing document from 1990 has both, i.e: my fathers name and her husbands name, will that suffice ?
Birth certificate is mandatory for sibling relationship. Utility and Hydro bill is required to prove sibling is living in Canada.. PR card is required to prove sibling is Permanent Resident. Passport is required to prove Citizenship. Marriage Certificate is not necessary

Hello All,

I have a quick question. I am claiming points for Sibling. To prove the relationship, I have to submit my passport along with my brothers passport. But, my parents names are printed slightly different in both our passports. (My brother doesn't have birth certificate).

Can anyone please suggest if this will be a problem ? Appreciate any suggestions.

Hello Everyone,

This is my case:
1. my partner ,who is Canadian, and I have been in relationship in around 7 months, we just moved in the same rental house last month, and also we changed the mailing address to the new house and also jointed new bank account . This case is considered common law yet?
2. I want to add my partner’s sibling into my Express Entry profile to get additional points. Is that possible?

The definition on Canada.ca is

Cohabitation means living together. Two people who are cohabiting have combined their affairs and set up their household together in one dwelling. To be considered common-law partners, they must have cohabited for at least one year. This is the standard definition used across the federal government. It means continuous cohabitation for one year, not intermittent cohabitation adding up to one year. The continuous nature of the cohabitation is a universal understanding based on case law.

While cohabitation means living together continuously, from time to time, one or the other partner may have left the home for work or business travel, family obligations, and so on. The separation must be temporary and short.

You can submit an affidavit for one and the same name.

How can I get an affidavit? or Just explain the same on a Judicial stamp paper and get it notarized?
Its the same thing. Better talk to local notary, they know the format. Many people come across name issues for various documents. The notary will tell you which documents to bring, and you can submit that along with the passports to prove sibling relationship.

Sorry...One last question

As the notary cannot be done at this point due to restrictions of Covid 19.
Will it be okay, if I submit all the passport copies along with the letter of explanation confirming the relationship.

I can not comment on that. Visa officer will decide whether to accept your explanation or not. They will come back and ask for an ADR

Please guide me to upload the following documents.
(1) Proof of PR/Citizenship of sibling - PR Card
(2) Proof of Residency in Canada of sibling - Planning to show bank statement, Phone bill
(3) Proof of sibling relationship - Inside of both of our passport.
(4) Family Member Proof of Status - PR card

Are the above correct?
Hi,

Please can you share your experience? Did you get your PR? Even I don't have my birthday certificate. If I upload my sibling's birthday certificate, pr card and utility bill and my passport- will it work?
