Hey guys - I need to bounce this idea off you and see what you think!

Couple of weeks ago, we got the good news that wife is pregnant, now...THIS WEEK CIC-ND office will start procession my application.

I'm thinking of sending/emailing the doctors note that states her condition and expected date of delivery! I know on the in-land application, there is a question that asks if you or spouse are pregnant!

Now, I understand that this will not speed-up my process...I'm wondering should I do this proactively when they open/working my app...it sure does make a relationship genuine....perhaps, it could accelerate the process?

What do you guys this....could it hurt or help??

Please n thnx!

I think it will not help, and will probably hurt. Any additional info you send with then have the file pulled.

New Delhi is one of the fastest offices in the world. You can let them know about the pregnancy if she gets called for an interview, but that likely won't even happen.

Just relax, and she'll be here in a few months.

By the way...Congratulations!

Oooops....sorry, i should have known that.

In that case, if you have an interview, tell them she is pregnant and you are really looking forward to the baby. Otherwise, Relax...you'll be together in a few months!

Yeah it wont speed up a case at all.But most likely the baby will be born in Canada as the process time in ND is pretty quick.

I wouldn't mention it unless you were called for an interview like bobshynoswife said, it's not going to most likely affect the case. If she was the applicant it might have / baby born not in Canada.

Nope no upside.Just that if she is born in Canada will be Canadian thats all.It wont speed up the process at all.It may even slow it down. And when they tell you to state if there is any changes in your status it does not mention Pregnacy just birth.

Unfortunately pregnancy does not prove a relationship is real, it just shows you consumated the marriage and conceived a baby. To us it proves it, but not to an IO.

Since it won't speed up the process, I don't think I would bother to let them know unless they contact you. I don't however think it will slow it down either, so if you are set on letting them know, then do it.

And i dont want to sound harsh here but we are talking about IO's here right, now your unborn child is not a child.Anything could happen thats how they look at it.Unborn is just that unborn.Sorry but its just reality. To us were always estatic of a newborn on the way and we understand that you did it out of love.To an IO very differnt outlook.

I agree with the other comments. It's not going to make them process your case faster. Adding additional info. to your case means the new info. has to be matched up to your original application and that can delay your case, so I wouldn't bother sending a note. I know of an acquaintance who sponsored her hubby through New Delhi. She got pregnant and was hoping it would speed up their case and that her husband would be here before the baby was born. In fact her husband didn't get his visa until some 6 months after the baby was born. It sounds cold, but CHC doesn't really care that your wife is pregnant. Unfortunately, it's not proof to them that your relationship is genuine. So since it's not going to add anything to your case, I wouldn't bother sending the additional information.

OP, I agree how horrible it is that it's not 'proof' :( but I do agree with the other posters that it probably does not add much value to confirming genuine. It's sad.

LOL if it helped there would be a lot of bedroom activity from a lot of us.But on a serious note you can tell them if it will ease your mind nobody really knows what an IO might think but from what we see here there is nothing that will speed up a process other than a country that has had a hardship like a Natural Disaster or War.
