They probably misunderstood that this is a spousal sponsorship application. As was mentioned, other types of applicants are asked to submit medicals after sending in their application package. I hope that you are following the country specific guidelines for Ecuador which will confirm for you...

Relationship Time Frame.. I need help please..

I agree. Don't let yourself fall prey to doubt. Stay strong! I think as long as you have lots of proof of your relationship, you should have no problem. The fact that you 2 lived together for 6 months will definitely count in your favour. And I hate to say it but I think that the fact that this...

Thread for applicants of NEW DELHI 2010!

Vinjovi, your wife can come with any amount that she chooses - $0, $50, $3000, $10,000 etc. It won't make any difference to CIC. She should bring whatever amount she will need.

Thread for applicants of NEW DELHI 2010!

Just to clarify....you can bring however much money you want into Canada. You only have to declare amounts over $10,000 CND. See: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5052-eng.html But to answer your original question vinjovi, no, you don't need to have any cash on you.

Thread for applicants of NEW DELHI 2010!

No. It doesn't matter at all where you got married. Getting married in Canada will have no effect on your processing time. CIC's only interest is a. is your marriage legal in the country where you were married and b. do you have convincing proof that your relationship is genuine and continuing.

That's totally fine. That's what we submitted. I assume it will have the name of the long distance provider so it will really be no different than if the LD provider sent it. Good luck.

Hi akrk A notarized letter is a letter which after written is taken to a legal official (typically a notary public) who would witness its singing and then affix their seal to the letter. The notary confirms that the signature is actually that of the person who signs the letter which means that...

Applying to sponsor my wife ... a second time

When you say 'can we apply for a second time', what are you referring to? Applying again for PR or applying for citizenship? Your wife isn't eligible to apply for citizenship since you need to live 3 out of the past 4 years in Canada to apply for citizenship and according to what you wrote, your...

Medical Report/PR App - "requested Visa Office"?

Well the poster is a US citizen and according to the CIC website (which you provided a link to), the only US visa office processing PR applicants is Buffalo. So that to me means that the doctor is wrong in asking which visa office he wants to process his application when his only choice is Buffalo.

New settler must stay minimum 12 months?? Confused, please help.

Don't worry. The B4 form is just speaking to your intent to establish permanent residence (i.e. greater than 12 months) in Canada. In no way does it say or mean that you must stay for 12 months. You are misinterpreting what's written. You could essentially land as a PR one day and leave the...

    a little scared about medical

It is erroneous to say that spouses cannot be inadmissable for any medical reason. This has been incorrectly and repeatedly stated on this forum. Spouses cannot be denied based on excessive demand to the health care or social system. This means that you could have a medical condition -- anxiety...

Medical Report/PR App - "requested Visa Office"?

That's because Buffalo isn't an interview location. Buffalo is the only visa office in the US that processes permanent resident (PR) applications. The other offices process temporary visas (e.g. tourist, skilled worker etc.). So you will need to put down Buffalo as your visa office (no choice on...

They do send the PPR by Speedpost. Obviously they don't send out the PPR immediately. They need at least a few weeks to review your file. In our case, we got the PPR request 3 weeks after CHC started processing our file. If you check other cases on trackitt.com you can see that it varies...

Thread for applicants of NEW DELHI 2010!

If your parents are supporting your wife financially, then you are better off getting a notarized letter from your parents attesting to this rather than writing a letter yourself. The number of questions that the visa office is asking is not typical. Unfortunately, the fact that they are asking...
