Should I claim my common law partner on Canadian tax return?

My tax program asks me if my marital status changed in 2011.....I clicked yes

The it starts to ask all sorts of questions. I mark her as a non resident.
Then it starts asking questions about her non Canadian income. I put $0 for most of it and $600 for the money she made at her job

It asks for her social insurance number which she doesn't have so I put 000000000 which then prompts all sorts of errors

Just wondering if I am doing this correctly? Since she hasn't yet been accepted to Canada I seemed a bit odd that I'm filing a return on her behalf.
Even though she's not eligible for any refund it asks her to mail hers in. That part is kind of confusing. Should I ignore that part?

common-law is like married from taxes point of view and u have to declare her!!!! also it's good proof for the application....maybe they would raise eye brows if they ask ur tax returns and they see that u were declared urself single ::)
what u can do is fill it in by hand....or with an accountant....put ur status, write her name....from what i know in this situation: husband, partner who always was outside canada, their income does not matter....it will matter once she lands...and no, no return for her....if it looks odd to them and they have questions they will call u and ask....:)

perfect that's what I thought.
I will claim her

I just hoping I'm filling everything out correctly!
well from tax point of view i'm not sure...i always went to an accountant and presented the situation and that's how she did it....hope she is right! but from immigration point of view it's the right way...

for me when the tax officers had doubts they called me to re-comfirm my info from there...i guess they could do the same for u....but they never asked me abt the status or why i don't declare his revenues...it looks that that part was always clear for them ;)
