hey guys sorry for my silence; here is my update and answer to an email i got a few weeks back hubby got decision made on March 16 (exactly one month after the test) :D i was hoping april is our month but it seems not - no oath invitation yet :confused: why people with DM later than us already...

exactly! we were 6 weeks short; but maybe that's why both you and my hubbie didn't get detailed questions about each day - the residency req was clear; keeping fingers crossed!! :)

the question is: do they issue the 'certificate of citizenship' at the time of the oath or they send it by post later? that's the citizenship proof and without it we cannot apply for passport

wow amazing gives me hope! congratulations! time to practice 'oh, canada' ;) if you go in person to Passport Canada it takes exactly 2 weeks (but you submit and you pick up your passport in person - with the line up you loose at least half day each time); there is an expedited process of 2 days...

no worries same for my hubbie :) did the test on the 16th (Montreal), still IP; was the interview straightforward? for us it looks it was, the officer said the oath invitation will come in a few months

how do you know this? :) so just 2 oaths per month, that would explain the long wait between my husband had his test last Friday, feb 16th; he was told it would take a few more months maybe 2; i really hope it's before june/july

thanks for sharing! we did short trips too, going on vacation, it shouldn't b red flag for them; it's ok as you see Montreal office is slow in general; even people with the test wait long after; you will get at the end! good luck :)
