I became a Canadian today. In-person ceremony at Mississauga and got the paper certificate towards the end. I know you know, but some pointers for anyone lucky enough to get an in-person ceremony:

1. Put your phones on silent mode. Someone's phone went off and they actually starting whispering when the citizenship judge was speaking. Super rude! The judge paused and told the lady to hang up.
2. So many people were busy recording the judge or the videos playing instead of listening and enjoying the moment.
3. I swear to god, the person next to me was checking freaking emails during the ceremony. Another person was monitoring their Instagram account for likes of their selfie with the paper flag.
4. Practise the bilingual lyrics! The hall went completely quiet during the French parts of the anthem and the person checking their emails looked at me in awe when I was singing the French lyrics.

Make the most of the day, everyone. You can always watch a recording of someone's ceremony on YouTube any time. Your presence in the moment cannot be replaced.

Which address did you use actual or the one used at point of entry for PR card shipping?

Probably should stop checking the tracker at this point. Ghost update 2 days after oath invitation email. Nothing has changed, still scheduled for Feb6 oath.

I just received the instruction email for attending the oath ceremony. Mine is via zoom and is at 10:45AM Mountain Time on Feb 8.
