Citizenship Certificate delivered today ( Oct-18-2022). Oath Ceremony was on 04-Oct. Processing Office: Niagara Falls.

Good luck to everyone still waiting to get their applications finalized.

Could anyone provide info on passport application? Any tips would help.

As per the second article, there is a backlog of 352,000 citizenship applications as of September 30, 2022.

I don't think it matters if your PR card is expired if you're in Canada. PR card is essentially a travel document. If a person does not intend to travel, it is of limited use. Others to confirm.

I recommend you to reach out to your local office mentioning that your PR is expiring soon and you're planning to travel, this might help to speed up your application process.

It is used as a proof of ID in some places. I have it in my bank account

You will get oath invitation email 1 or 2 weeks before the ceremony. Contact IRCC if you don’t receive the email 5 to 7 days before the ceremony date.

Thanks Farah. I really want to know if it will be in person or online, so I can plan a day off or working from home I want it in person tbh, so I can book to fly somewhere.
I don't know if at this point of time IRCC customer service can tell me if it's in person or virtual

Contact the IRCC call centre. They will be able to say if it is in person or virtual. The agent was able to tell me about my oath.

I saw some people getting in person ceremoney but I didn't know that is for people before 2021. I recalled some posts has the same case you mentioned. It's really good catch.
