September 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

It's kind of concerning. I still only have 1 line in ECAS. I have the application number after called IRCC. The lady sent me an email about the study guide.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 24, 2020.

Does that mean my application is safe, won't be returned?

Finally..... The second line appeared on my ECAS which says, the processing of my application has been started. No AOR email yet though. I have updated the tracker. But not sure what the AOR date would be.

Why do you think it would be returned? Unfortunately, AORs are patchy in that not everyone gets them. But if you are eligible, followed the application guide, paid the fees, etc then there is no reason your application would be returned. Give it time!

how long it will take to send you test invitation?

Guys should we wait for 9-10 months after "In Process" to get a test invite. I am seeing people from Jan 2019 still waiting for a test invitation.

those were stuck because of covid, but now immigration department speeding up too, so cant say anything but i assuming within one year everything will finish for sure. after in process- should be 4 to 5 months for test invitation (According to me)

No worries. It would have been a miracle if In Process date was Dec. 15.

It's hard to say. Dec 2019 applicants have just started getting theirs (as per the tracker).

So 4-5 months (July 2021) seems reasonable using the Dec 2019 average of 324 days as of typing this. If online tests ramp up, then probably sooner.
