October 23, 2014 - Sponsor approval
November 17, 2014 - AOR from tel aviv (AOR email was received December 12, 2014)
December 23, 2014 - ECAS status changed to In Process
December 29, 2014 - Final stage/PPR email sent (received today)

If you're the sponsor then you need a consent form from the principal applicant signed and scanned back to you. It's 5 bucks and it takes about 30 days to arrive.

Maria, you and I have the exact same timeline..Sep 10 application filed and SA on Oct 27 for me. I pray for a miracle in January

Yeah I am praying too ... Ottawa VO sent out DMs to July people so they should be working on August soon. Maybe 1 more month waiting. Fingers crossed for us

To those of you getting passport requests are they actually asking for your original passport or just copies?

The letter is asking for original passport unless you're from a visa exempt country, in that case they request photocopies of every page of the passport.
In addition, they also ask for eye color and height.

Yeah I am praying too ... Ottawa VO sent out DMs to July people so they should be working on August soon. Maybe 1 more month waiting. Fingers crossed for us

I have no idea what month Accra is working on..I can't seem to find anyone applying through that office except one or 2 people from June/July. They've gotten emails back from the VO requesting more information. So hopefully they'll look at mine soon although I know they opened it in mid November.

I'm in Ottawa and my wife is in Accra btw

My Husband is Canadian (from Ottawa)... I am a US Citizen. We are both in Ottawa right now waiting. So Its not so bad. But I would like to get this all over with soon!.. I hope you hear something soon!

I tried bringing her here on a visitor but she was denied because of strong ties to Canada and weak ties to Ghana. They didn't think she would come back at the end of the visa.

Anyone in September that went to the Ottawa VO hear anything from them? It has been a very silent 2 months after SA. I am sure everyone is the same but I have so much in limbo right now. It would be nice to just go pick up my things in NY and finally get fully settled.

Hey Maria,

In my GCMS notes, there was a section where it says undertaking length : 36 months. Do you know what that means?

Also, in your notes, does it say in progress? and did anything start for you? criminal and back ground checks?

36 months is how long your sponsor is financially on the hook for you. If during those 3 months you receive any welfare support from the govt, your sponsor will have to pay that back.
