You should all be happy you received SA' I am still waiting for it! :'( Just trying to be patient.
Wow really?! You checked your file is absolutely filed correctly?

It is our fault, we forgot to sign a form; they only requested a new form not the entire package, leaving me to believe it would process faster! However, I was told I have to wait the processing time over again, so:

November 18th received req info.

CIC 81 day processing time

Originally applied Sept 30, 2014

**Just got off the phone with CIC, The young man I spoke with said he would be contacting the office that handles the applications, could be another month before I hear anything.

oh wow... I can't believe the processing time starts all over just for one form...

We received an email today requesting my husband's passport. This was from Paris VO. He must now submit his passport at the Canadian Embassy in Tunisia for same day visa processing. Interesting to note that there are many options on how to get the visa in the passport depending on which country you are from.

All in all from the time they started "in process" it was less than 30 days. And total time was less than 5 months from initial file submission in August (4 months from updated form submission in September).

It is hard to be patient but it is worth it in the end.

Good luck to you all.

Congrats! we are all hoping to hear something hopefully this month or the next.

I'm seeing August people getting PPR so we are next

No, Canadapost tracking told me, lol. I sent it certified so that I could get a signature confirmation. What's the relevance of your question?

You and I both. Though, its not everyone else's fault that I forgot to sign something. Why should people have to wait becase of my negligence I say. Here's to yet another week of optimism! :D

Well I was just asking because I also got a form request on nov 25th and then I called around christmas and they told me that they got my new form on nov 27th and my app is now complete. so I have to wait like I am a nov 27th applicant! lol

the wait is crazy!

I called my VO yesterday (was supposed to be Paris but they kept it in Mississauga) as I had to send some extra documentation and she told me they were "almost done" processing everything... well I asked for an aprox timeline until completion and she couldn't say... I wonder how long it will take now...

Yes, it is absurd for sure. Curious, you said you received confirmation to your resend? Confirmation would be nice! However, they cannot deny they received what I sent due to the tracking verification I received... hang in there, we'll process one day...lol

Nothing for us this week, not even a mail to acknowledge the email my wife sent Dec 28 to update her mailing address re the template that Maria showed for us to try.. CIC dunno :-\

BUT!, we will continue to hope for good things this next coming week for us all 8) Bring on the weekend! ;D

Hi Kassine,

Did you request Paris VO that you would like to submit in Tunisia or did the original email give you the instructions ?

I ask because I am in Canada now and my VO is New Delhi. Do you think I can request for visa stamping in Canada itself ( when the time comes ) without having to make a trip to my home country.

Thanks !

Hello,

They gave a number of options for how to submit the passport. Some were specific to Algeria and Tunisia and some were for other countries done through the Paris VO. He could mail it and wait for them to mail it back. He could go to the VO in Paris and pick it up 5 business days later. It was fastest for him to go directly to the visa office in Tunisia. The last option was if he was already a resident of Canada and would be here for 3 months, then he could submit to CPC Ottawa. I don't know if there are different options for Delhi than for Paris.

I hope that is helpful. I wonder how different each VO is or whether there are standard things for each that they just list in the PPR letter...

Sorry I can't be more helpful.
