Anyone from the Ottawa VO in September hear anything yet?

I have seen a lot of the July / Aug applicants are hearing something so we should be next! Good luck everyone.

I have not heard anything yet. Still application received.
I still have hope and pray it will start soon.

They will most likely ask you to fill out the consent form when they review the request. This is the video I used when I first was learning how to order them. The info at the bottom of the video has all the needed links.

Thanks Maria 8) I probably should have waited as the way some of the form was worded made it guess work on my part lol.. When they get to my request I imagine they will ask for more info etc... Maybe by then we'll actually have PR and it won't matter anymore ;D

Wow I sent the request out Thursday, and by late afternoon Friday they mailed me back with a provided link to the consent form for my wife to fill out so we can see her case notes.. Cool! (my bad for not including it to begin with, oops!)

That would be awesome if our PR's could go that quick or at least within a month to three months for sure! 8)

GCMS notes can be quite enlightening. They show such things as when they received your app. when the VO requested documents, if and when those documents were received by them. It shows requests made from the VO to outside 3rd party sources and when the response was from those sources. It could also give you insight to what is happening with your app right from the VO's comments on the file if there is any. They show when certain sections of the process were started and or completed.

Some people find the notes a waste of time, I found them interesting and gave a little bit of piece of mind when going through the process.

Chris.

Any info would be great in my book :)CIC JUST contacted me on THURSDAY via email. They asked me to show proof of my USA passport reflecting my new married name (as per my request). I did not know for my PR card to have my married name I would have to apply for a whole new passport and SS card so I am writing them a letter stating that it can remain my maiden name.

Also they requested my honorable discharge from the Navy paper work which I can provide but I wonder if it is just a matter of checking my background.

Hope everyone is getting some news soon!

Once you are get your COPR and are landed (and I think you have to wait for your PR card to be issued first) you can begin to change to you married name if you so desire.
