Guys..I see a ray of hope for old CEC applicants...Read this comment from a fellow member...

It says that the secretary of the MP told him that there is some FSW Quota that CIC has met...hence EE applications are like on hold...may be this would be blessing for us and we may see some movement in coming months as there would be more VO's working on the old CEC....Just my observation and I could be wrong.....

No. It was valid for 6+ months when you first submitted it, so even if it expires it's not a problem.

At this rate, everything will be expired, that's why I was weary of doing upfront medicals.
The wait is driving me crazy :'(

Just saw third line added to my ECAS.

3. Medical results have been received

Last week I asked them through email if they have got my medicals? Today I saw a line got added.

I just checked again today but I don't see the third line. Very frustrated.

I originally sent an email on June, and another email on July and I still don't see it. I sent another email with exact same information yesterday. Hope I see the damn third line within a few weeks.

At this rate my not-upfront medicals may expire - today is the 16 month mark for me and I'm not even 2nd review (eligibility: recommended pass) - my medicals are over 8 months old

Hey, which email address did you send a email to?

I did mine in late July and still not seeing third line.

I emailed them to confirm that they have received my medical. Got their reply with in a day that they have recvd it and an officer will contact you if any further information is needed.

Not sure if anyone is updating the BOWP sheet in the spreadsheet but if so, I applied online on June 26th and my online status updated to approved today. I expect the official letter will come in the next day or so.

I applied in last septemeber ( Sept 12, 2014) . Till now I have just heard back from CIC once with the application number (email on Jan 28, 2015). The following was the email

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Canadian Experience Class.

Upon review of the information you have provided, your application is considered complete based upon the requirements of the Instructions and Regulation 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).

X This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your Fee Payment Form IMM 5620 authorizing CIC to take payment of processing fees using the credit card details provided. Please be informed that we processed a payment of 550.00 Canadian dollars on this credit card . Your receipt number is ****. Please keep a copy of this letter for your records and quote this number on all correspondence relating to application fees or refunds

Has anyone heard back beyond this update who applied around the same time?

Is there a topic which refers extension of work permit ?

I am Sept 9 applicant for CEC. I also applied under PNP and got my AOR today. I have completely lost hope in CEC, hopefully PNP will be faster than CEC.
