Wrote to OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca requesting to confirm the medical examination status. I did my medicals on 1st May'2013 and it was sent to CIC around 8th May'2013.

I just came back from Niagara falls after landing.

Everything went smooth and it took me for about 40 mins to get it done.

I did landing through Rainbow bridge on foot.

You will need two quarters for the turnstile entrance fee to the bridge.

Let me know if you have anything you want to know.

Yep. 5 days short of 9 months...that's if you are from passport exempt country and won't have to wait for passport request.

I have another query and would like to get advice from people on this forum. My passport was on the verge of expiring thus sent it for renewal. I realized that the new passport issued after the expiry of the old would have a different number. I recently received the new passport with new number and old one being cancelled. Since my Application has the information about my old passport, I will be required to update the same with CIC. I would like to know if someone else has been in the same situation and what process they followed to update the Passport information with CIC. Does this effort the processing time on my application and delay the MR ?

Shall I wait for my MR request before updating the passport information or update CIC ASAP ?

just scan your passport and send it to cpp ottawa email address asap. of course don't forget to put all application information details in your email as well. I did the same few months back. Got confirmation back from cic that they have updated my passport details on their system.

Hi guys, Just received a letter from CIC requesting for the RCMP fingure prints. Is this a regualr and normal procedure? I mean does everyone who has applied has to do this? How close do you think I am and another thing is, they have only asked my fingure prints not my wife's who is prinicipal applicant. any thoughts on this guys. Thanks.

CIC says about 13 months for the whole procedure under CEC.

I just got my new SIN today.

Im in ON, and they said I should wait for 3 months for OHIP.

I will keep you updated.
