Received September 12, 2012.

I found in my files Guide IMM5609 for CEC valid august 2012. I filled my app based this guide and keep verify by my lawyer.

Experience:
You must obtained the equivalent of 24 months of full-time or full-time equivalent (one week is 37.5 hours of work) Canadian skilled work experience at NOC skill type 0,A or B. Experience must have been acquired in Canada (within 36 months preceding the date the application is made).

I did 4578 hours in 24 months minus 9 working days.
its
122 weeks
2.30 years (based 53 weeks a year)

So where is the problem?

Because in order to be eligible in 2012 you needed to have worked in total 104 weeks with at least 37.5 hours per week. Anything over the 37.5 hours in any given week isn't counted. By the sounds of it you have worked just over 102 weeks which means you aren't eligible - shame you didn't hold off for a couple of weeks. Anyway, you can now reapply. No point in fighting it, the decision is correct. It is however awful that it took so long for someone to make this decision, hopefully this will be changing from 2013 on.

No, this came as 1st letter since September 12, 2012.

Upps, really, so they count one week only 37,5 hours? I did never read about that, even my lawyer never told. And after 10 months.. Great. So nearest termin for IELTS is September, lots of work again. :-(

Now I become so tensed about Wendy refusal.

On the Schedule 8 IMM 008, I put the latest job exp from 4-4-2011 to till date(means date I signed off application, which is 20-9-12)

Can we put "till date" in the application? Can they understand?

Also I previous Job exp from 17-12-2009 to 02-12-2010. I between I has a break.

How they count # of weeks? Both my jobs are 40hrs/week & I had only 2 weeks vacation in Feb 2012.

Am I eligible? or should I expect my application refused?

Seniors please help.

Experience can be counted for the previous 3 years from the date you applied. As long as you worked at least 37.5 hours or equiv pt for the required duration (student = 12 months tfw = 24 months) in an eligible / skilled job, you should be fine.

Hi,

I need help interpreting the GCMS notes situation. Got my notes back based on the request in early June. The e-mail states these are the notes pertaining to your PR application but the actual document only references my TRV application that has been approved and issued to me two years ago. There is no mention of the PR application. Has this happened to anybody? What does this mean? Can I follow up? Or should I submit a new request? How do I make sure they send the correct notes next time?

Thanks for your help! This is a wonderful albeit slightly hysterical support group.

Actually I applied for GCMS notes quoting my FSW application file #.
So I got info pertaining only to FSW application.
Now I ordered GCMS quoting my CEC file #.

Go ahead & apply GCMS notes again using you file # , mentioned in your CEC AOR.

So I just got back my GCMS notes and this is what it says:

Eligibility: In progress
Security: Not Started
Criminality: In Progress
Medical: Not Started

Later down, under ELIGIBILITY and ACTIVITY, they mention (as at May 16, 2013):

Status: Recommended Passed. The officer also highlights in their notes that I met all the required eligibility criteria in great detail.

Under CRIMINALITY, the mention the fingerprints they requested of me.

Under incoming correspondences, they mention the fingerprint check they got from the RCMP.

Nothing else. I am impressed with the shear volume of detail they have in those notes...it brings me SOME comfort knowing something is going on over there, but I really want to see that the process is moving (as by asking me for MR or SOMETHING).

Have you applied gcms before CIC received rcmp clearance?

About 3-4 days after. They received it within 4 days of when they requested it, so I'm comfortable it's a clean record.
