Do not rely on their answer. They are the most useless persons on this earth.

I got the same answer when I gave them a call in morning. The same day after noon I got the decision made on Ecas. And when I gave them a call after the decision made on Ecas, the lady informed me that I was approved as a sponsor and the letter has been mailed to me.

Hey Kannadiga, I completely agree with Kuku. As I said before the same thing happened to me. I called them yesterday morning and they told me my file hasn't been opened yet but 5 min later I got an email saying my sponsorship has been approved. So do call them again and inquire. That would be my suggestion. Good Luck.

Hello I am new. I am sponsoring my husband from Costa Rica. I sent our file away on September 21 and it arrived in Missasauga on September23. I have a question when I check Ecas I have inputed my info and no results all I have is the receipt number. It is the Sponsors info they are asking for? We are using the Guatemala visa office.

Most people are not able to log in ecas with the receipt number. Once you have (sponsor) Client ID then you can log in using the sponsors information. If you wish to see about getting your Client ID phone the call centre and see if the file has been started and ask for it. Once approval has been granted to sponsor and your file has arrived at the VO then an applicant number is given and the applicant can log in with the applicants info. Only the sponsor will be able to see the progress of both sponsor and applicant on ecas and the applicant can only see their information when logged in.
