Zee has already answered your first query approriately.

Some common reasons for rejection are:

CAP has reached
Forms / Documents incomplete
Duties and resposnsibilites do not match with NOC
Gap in calculation of points for education
In case of sponsorship points, family details of the family in Canada not being adequate.
Credit card could not be charged
Your overall points not adding up to 67 points

These are usually the reasons.

My application reached CIC on Oct 11, 2011. Haven't heard anything from them till date. Can anybody tell me b what time should I expect any letter/email from them?
I also check my spam mail folder daily in case the email lands there but no luck.

You should hear from them by 2nd week of January. If you don't by then, do give them a call. The number has been mentioned by Zee in one of the earlier post.

Oh we are the same NOC

I am sorry Roposh, but I think you might not have made it to CAP. The CAP is closed as you must be aware. They could process only upto around the 20th Sep this year for 0631.

But dont lose hope as you can always apply through Quebec (is you know just abit of french) also check out the provincial nominee programme. EVen for FSW its only a matter of another 6 months as the CAP will open by July 2012.

I am so sorry to be the one giving you this information. But I would think it's better to know as early as possible, so that you can launch on your Plan B.

I get anxious now that its new year and I haven't received any notice from the embassy. My papers reached Nova Scotia in September 14, 2011. Can I still expect for a positive response to my application? the 500 cap was reached sep 20. I'm wondering if they ever reviewed my documents before sep 20
