Some people are saying that bank draft or payorder will get encashed in 30/60 days but my questionn is that How we would know if our pay order or Bank draft has been encashed or not?? I mean when we make a bank draft the amount is withdrawn from our account immediately so as far as I know one can not get any intimation or information when that Payorder or bank draft is encashed. Please explain.

i have sent to cio dd with title citizenship and immigration canada whi ch is wrong. i was suppose to write receiver genral for canada..

the mistake was done by bank officer

now what should i do ....
should i wait for cic reply
it will cause my non acceptance
should i make another dd
or my realtive in canada should fill the fee payment and pay on my behalf with covering letter....
plz guide me my noc is 3131 which is 320 now.and cio receivd my application on 16th august plz help me out of this stressful situation :'(

according to my calculation 10 days are remaining to cap 3131, if you or your relative personally submit the new application its better. don't cancel your previous application , when you confirm your new application is in cap , then withdraw from your previous application.

My friend is also in the same situation as you. same thing " Citizenship and Immigration Canada" was written on his draft, he called CIC to inform them of this and the call center agent told him that there is nothing he can do other than to wait for CIO to respond to his application.

When you make a bank draft, bank debit the amount from your bank Account. That money stays with the bank itself.
When CIC clears the draft the money get deduct from Bank's Account only.
Thats how Your bank will know that your draft has been encashed or not!!

i’m curious to know what they actually look for during background check
because we provide police certificates and fbi or whatever fingerprint
check etc.

What are they looking for during background check?​

There are several different checks. Criminal check deals with verifying if
person has any criminal record and it is basically covered by police
certificates. Background check mainly verifies education and experience
credentials.

Then there is background/security check which is conducted completely
outside of and independently from Canadian immigration by Canadian
intelligence and security agencies, with and/or without cooperation of
proper authorities in all countries applicant resided since age 18 (for some
nationals since age 16). It looks into applicant's background, activities,
associations, etc. to determine if person was and/or is involved in any
espionage, terrorism, organized crime, radical groups, crimes against
humanity, etc. - how it is done and what is found is classified and CIC only
receives "positive" or "negative" decision.

I have sent my application on last day of Aug'11. Recently I withdrawn the fund and invest in purchasing land property. Does it disqualify my file? Does CIC give me any scope to replace my submitted Bank Certificate by my Land Valuation Certificate?

you will be asked again to show proof of funds , you must transfer this property in cash form at that time and show proof of property purchasing after the submission of application.
