Separated from wife but no divorce. CIC asked for divorce certificate. What should I do?

Did IRCC get back to you after sending those documents?
I’ve seen the few first pages from this thread that their PR application got approved without the divorce certificate.
They just sent LOE, documents about divorce and affidavit.

Nothin from IRCC or on the divorce front :(

So tired of waiting and checking for updates everyday.

Yep looking at those older posts gives me some hope..but..phew!!

How is your file looking now?

All are complete just the security is not started.
Received PAL October 11.

Hello Friends, hope you are well.


Im also going through same situation.
I declared in my application that We are separated since 10 November 2022 but not applied for divorce yet as one year separation required for divorce.

l got pre-arrival-letter 3-Nov-2023 and got request to submit Divorce Certificate on 28 November. We submitted divorce app on 22 Nov

I want to know that divorce Draft and affidavit from both sides are sufficient? Even i also provided Police certificate and medical of spouse


IRCC gave me deadline 26 January 2024.

If you submit on or before the deadline, IRCC will made a decision whether they are sufficient.

IRCC doesn’t respond or no update yet on my application.
Prayer and lots of patience we need right now.
Hoping they will approve our PR app without the divorce certificate.

Yeah its really stressful situation for us,
We pray for each other. Hope result will be positive and soon.
