Hello,
When DHL courier company in India refused to mail my passport to Canada, i was stumped.I had to send it as i had cleared all of my earlier rounds and the attorney suggested i send over the passports as the last step of my PR application process. But the courier company said "NO" stating they are not authorized to which shocked me.
Anyway, fortunately, i send my passport as well as my family's through my friend travelling to US who mailed it to the attorney. The attorney received it and has forwarded it to the Canadian Consulate for my PR stamping.

Now my worry is:will there be a problem when the attorney sends it back to me in India via Fed Ex or DHL etc? Is there some risk that Fed Ex will refuse to deliver?

Most importanty, have i broken some law by sending my passports out. Because when i searched through the net tonight i saw some folks indicating there it is not right to send your passports out of the country.
But then how on earth does someone like me get his PR stamping completed?

Please help as i am finding myself in a very uneasy spot until i get my passport back.

regards

Did you read the last page of the Indian passport, where it states its illegal to mail Indian passport in or out of India? You may have a problem.
