sending birth certificate

Hi everyone!


So Im having quite the scare today, I never sent a birth certificate with my application. Im from Sweden and my husband was recently approved as a sponsor and my application was transfered to Ottawa. Im not sure what kind of brain fart I must have had only sending my passport as ID, and we also sent marrige certificate of course. What kind of trouble can this cause? Should I send one to Ottawa now or wait til they request it?

Send any additional documentation now, it should be fine. If you wait until they request it, your application will go back into a queue for those needing additional documents, and my understanding is that it can add 1-2 or even 3 mos wait time, depending on the VO and what it was.

The good thing is you already have SA so you can forward it along to your VO. I had to do this with my FBI certificate and when I ordered my GCMS notes I saw that it had been attached w/o incident. It has not slowed my application at all, since it's just collecting dust, anyway XD

IMO better to send it before they ask for it.

Thanks a million! I figured so I'll just send it off tomorrow We just recived SA a few days ago so they are no were near beginning to process my application so there should be plenty of time for them to add this to my application package Birth Certificate and Passport is ebough for ID right? And we obviously sent in Marriage License and Certificate already
