Security on GCMS note: RCMP certificate? Fingerprint?

Hi Seniors,

I just received my GCMS note, security section is blank.

I am a June applicant, and I did NOT submit the RCMP certificate and fingerprint along with my application. I have not receive any request for those yet. Are these documents the must? Should I submit them right away or wait?

No, it is not required to submit the RCMP clearance with the application. Some applicants are later requested to submit this because they cannot be "cleared" by a name-based check.

You ARE however required to submit police clearances from every other country you lived in for at least 6 months. If you have done this, you should be OK until you hear from CIC.

That makes more sense. I did spend in HK for 1 year. However, to get the police certificate from HK, I need CIC to initiate the official request. That's actually what I'm waiting for from the beginning - I guess I can ONLY wait for the VO to contact me for that?? Considering most June applicants already landed (congrats! by the way), and I'm still waiting for their request for PC ...

It shows in my GCMS note that I passed the criminality check though.

If you are already passed for Criminality, chances are you won't be asked for the the HK certificate. Security is a different check -

I passed the eligibility, but not security - security is blank all over the places. Someone in the forum said CIC blanks it on purpose, as it is "SECURITY" and not supposed to be seen ...

Anyway, don't know what exactly security is about, guess I can only wait.

I got my GCMS as well but for mine, security: not started and due date is May 31,2013.
for your case, all blank in security section? even under ADMISSIBILITIES?

Checked admissibilities, Status: blank, Validity Date: blank, Due Date: blank ...

The Due Date of my medical is 2013/11/05, and I haven't received MR yet. Guess due date does not mean too much ...
