Hi,

Just when I thought our process was going smooth CIC requested another schedule A for my wife. Just trying to figure out why it got requested again...

When doing year/month for history how have you all written this?
Example below:

Option #1
2015-04 --- 2015-12
2014-04 ---- 2015-03

Or

Option #2
2015-04 --- 2015-12
2014-04 --- 2015-04

If I read the instructions correctly on the website it says to write it like Option #1.

Thanks,

Ya will look into the previous Schedle A sent to see if we made a mistake. Just seems strange tthey ask you to follow there instructions that states to use Option #1 and you did Option #2 with no problems

Will see what we come across once my wife gets home

They request a electronic copy regardless if you sent it in or not. As soon as my application was linked I had the same request, it's just the new policy with the new forms. I doubt you did it wrong unless they're requesting you to upload another after already doing so. Anyway I listed my dates like :

05-2015 to 06-2015
07-2015 to 08-2015, etc.

Keep in mind if you saved a copy you'll need to reopen the form and start from scratch otherwise it will not electronically validate. I had this issue and I ended up mailing them originally a perfectly filled out form but when I went to actually upload the form on MyCIC per their request I couldn't get it to validate with the Ongoing date boxes checked and I could only physically type in the year and month. I uploaded it with the most recebt year and month at the time and now they're finally processing my application but the dates are no longer recent on my uploaded copy (they are the same places and still ongoing but the form shows 01-2017 instead of Ongoing). I found out later after reading these forums that the only work around is to fill out a fresh form and don't try to use or modify a old saved file.

Just some advice. They haven't yet requested a new form from me, so I don't know if I'll get a request for another one or not... and it only lets you upload a document once so make sure it's correct.

Hope that helps, best of luck.

Hi,

We uploaded a Schedule A (a few days ago) and received a request to upload another one yesterday, but was given no specific instructions other then to make sure there are no gaps in section #6 (personal history).

Will look into possible mistake we made. As far as I can remember there were no gaps so not really sure what they are talking about.

Will keep all posted...

Hi,

Ok wife and I looked over previously sent Schedule A and below could any of these be reasons we were requested to again?

1. There were no GAPS other then we went back 9 years and 11 months instead of the 10 required. Are they that specific when it needs to be 10 years. Not a problem to add another row going back to 2005.

2. Year/month was as Option #1 posted before. Shall we do Option# 2 or keep as we originally filled out.

3. My wife worked in Canada twice under the Sweden-Canada Working Holiday Visa (Temporary Work Visa) back in 2007 and 2008. Option for Status in country we selected "Worker". We previously mentioned this VISA in our application. Was this correct or shall we choose another option for status?

4. My wife worked in Netherlands for many years. Under status in country when she was working we chose "Worker" and when between jobs we chose "Foreign National". Was this correct?

Other then that we cannot see anything else. I was a professional hockey for 11 years in Europe and my wife worked at a few different jobs in different fields over the course of my career. They shouldn't care she jumped around fields should they?

Thanks for any help.

Not only are the 'specific' about 10 years - they are positively ANAL about it!

Absolutely not! My wifes employment history read like she was making it up (she wasn't). Not a problem.

Not certain about the others, so won't comment, other than to say that I personally went for option 2 on the 'dating regime'.

Ok thought we could get away with 9 years and 11 months but no problem to add a couple of years.
Do you think we should also do option two, like you did or should we keep it with option one like before?

Thanks

Their worked example in the on-line completion guide is pretty clear I suppose (basically your option 1), so it is hard to think that if you have done it that way that this would be the problem!

I used the old forms, not these super-duper new validated jobbies. I have to say if I were completing the new forms now, I would complete them as per the worked example dates (e.g. option 1).

Ok thanks we will keep the schedule A the same but will add another row to section 6 and add my wife's job history. Will there be a problem if we add 2 more years or do they want exactly 10 years?

Thanks

No problem - they want at least 10 years (if that is what they say).

I have to say, the same form under the old pack / old method had the same wording (10 years or back to age 18, whichever is the most recent), but many people reported:

The form officially says to provide history since Age 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is the most recent. However, there have been many requests from the London office to provide history back to Age 18 regardless. Therefore we recommend providing the information since Age 18 regardless of your own age.

So it is up to you. It seems clear that they have asked for a minimum of 10 years, but personally, I would go back to age 18 (and did for my wife, which was a bit of a stretch as that was 25 years!!!).

Sorry was travelling to my wife's hometown. Ya, we might as well provide her history from the age of 18 to be safe. It's not a big deal to do this other then my wife remembering dates and addresses.

Will try this and hopefully I don't need to bug you again :D

Are there any updates since Schedule A submitted again? We are asked for the third time and this time since age 18. I wonder what to expect next.

Does anyone know if for on the schedule A I need to list myself as living in Canada even if I am only visiting Canada right now? And same for working, I am just visiting/unemployed would I list that in the work history section?

You could try reading the instructions on the form, which answer precisely both of your questions?
If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc). If you were outside your country of nationality, indicate your status in that country. Note: Please ensure that you do not leave any gaps in time.
We were requested Schedule A twice too. First time with AOR and we uploaded it to MYCIC same day as request but 30 days passed with no change except PROVIDED. The status then changed to OVERDUE. Then we were requested it again on April 11 as an additional document and same thing it says PROVIDED but if it doesn't change it will also expire on May 11. There was no problem with the uploading, says they were both successfuly uploaded and status says provided but never changes to processing.
