Had my oath ceremony this morning at 8.30. It was a very thrilling experience. The presiding judge Babcock was very funny. Wish you all the best in your wait.

I live in Ajax and I thought of writing to my MP since it is 3 months since my test and no news regarding my OATH. I found out that my MP is Chris Alexander who happens to be the immigration minister of Canada. I wrote to them and their response was prompt, they called me and took my details. Within a day they called me back and told me that my Citizenship has been granted and the Oath ceremony should be held in July.

I was in the same hall taking oath sitting on no: 8 at 2nd row close to window.. Yes the judge was non English. I believe he is an immigrant or from Quebec.. not sure he seems more comfortable in french.. Not much people taking oath these days in a slot.. there was 80 +/- only..

Writing your MP is a good idea. Who passed 3+ months afeter exam and told by officer that case is fine, can white emal to local MP . I know few people got results out of it.

Tell in your email that you want to become Citizen before the election and your voting intention. They can call local office directly. I know 3 of my friends who follow the way and meet the MP then. They got the oath letter even though their exam was after my case. I just wrote the email to MP. Let's see the next.

That's pretty much what I put in my email and stated that I felt the wait time and our limited access to see what is going on with regards to our applications is not fair. I also discussed immigration reform and my issues with bill c-24, etc, and told him I hoped that come October I'll be able to vote for him. It's an election year, after all
