Hi Folks

I joined my Company in 2012 as a direct recruit to the Hong Kong office. in 2014 due to a family issue i had to move back to India, so i took a Transfer to the Indian Branch of the same company (the name of the company slightly differs but its the same)

in 2016 I was asked to move to the SGP branch of same company but again for local considerations the name of the company differs

In a nutshell
HK - XXXXXXX Tech Hongkong Ltd
IN - XXXXXXX Corp India
SG - XXXXXX Tech Singapore PTE

On my EE I put it in as 3 companies. Was it a right decision. Should I have put it as 1 company, but since there are 3 offers and 2 services letters also, I thought it might be wise to put 3, Now am a bit confused.

Can anyone help if I should withdraw EE and reapply again

Regards

You can enter each location as different entity in the work history. Make sure you have 3 reference letters clearly mentioning the start and end dates, and other requirement by CIC. I was advised by a lawyer to split into different companies if the companies are legally different entity (eg IBM USA and IBM India).

OK thank you .. I shall get working on those reference letters ASAP.

Can I ask you another one.. Does the reference letter have to be from HR.. I am thinking the moment I ask them . they will ask me the reason why I want the letters and when I tell them .. It might not be taken in a very ok manner.

The toughest part is getting the reference letters. Please try with the HR by sending an official email. If they deny to provide such a letter then you may ask a colleague to give a reference letter. Attach his id if possible and get it notarized.

Depends on your payroll location, so lets say you were on India payroll and went to another country...then its one company

But if everytime, your entity name was different ( even slightest) and different payrolls, you did it right by giving 3 letters
My case was exactly the same and I did one letter talking about all 3 and sating all these are part of our parent company and signed by Global HR
