Hi guys.
I'm the sponsor and my husband is Italian. We're going to do the medical exam in Milan. For those of you who did it, what did they ask you? I'm nervous because my husband had Thyroid cancer 4 years ago and though he's fine now, I hope it won't affect his application. We are doing the exam upfront and they didn't tell us to bring his check-ups or anything. ON the phone they didn't ask if he had a serious illness, like it does in the application. But according to the instructions online, he should bring with him his old exams/check-ups etc., In the application, we checked the yes box when they asked if he had or has a serious illness. What do you think? any info about the med exam and the doctor in Milan would be helpful. Thanks!

By the way, me and my husband live in Udine, Friuli-Veneto area. Anyone else in my area? would be nice to get together and talk to someone in person. Just to chat and get to know other Canadians here as well and share our experiences.

Hi everyone! Just got our SA approved and app transferred to Rome - if anyone who applied before me could please keep us updated with your application, would really appreciate it!. Here's to quick processing!

Hi, my wife and I, applied in September. Our file was transferred to Rome on Dec and we are still waiting. But it's normal. Until December 31, processing times for Rome were around 12 months but they usually work applications in 8/9 months.

I guess so. I just hope we all get PR well before the medical exam expires because that thing cost 320 Euros for us plus a day off work and gas.

Thank you! That's actually super helpful, there aren't many recent Rome entries on the timelines :D Please keep us updated, really appreciate it!

she landed in Canada in March and they send out the documents in December

Not many applying from Italy then? No one's been on here in awhile.

Yeah, just waiting around for my file to be transferred to Rome... but maybe it's a good thing, fewer people could mean faster processing? (Just wishful thinking)
